Check Out These Orangutan Best Friends Relaxing In A Hammock
After spending the first 10 months of his life stuffed into a cramped chicken coop and eating only condensed milk, Budi the orangutan was thankfully rescued earlier this year. Upon being rescued, the little fella could hardly even sit up on his own. Budi now has a new lease on life and is settling in with his room-mate Jemmi at the International Animal Rescue in Indonesia.
Jemmi was also rescued and both he and Budi have become best friends and together have started to eat solid foods. Every night after they go to bed in their hammocks, the baby orangutan’s handlers hang up fruit such as guava and rambatan so they can start to experience the kind of food that is associated with foraging in the wild. Check out the video, its adorable.
