Help the Mountain Gorilla with WWF
There are now less than 900 Mountain Gorillas left on the planet, and unless we all pull together and make a stand they will become extinct in the not too distant future. The people that have been trusted with safeguarding these beautiful animals are the park rangers in the Albertine Rift, which covers parts of –
- Uganda
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Rwanda
- Burundi
- Tanzania
Their job is not only difficult, but also very dangerous. In the last 14 years 150 rangers have been killed, meaning that just going to work is a hazardous business for these kind individuals. Their duties include having to trek many miles a day, in all weathers, through thick forests to try and protect these endangered animals. It’s a very exhausting occupation, but the rangers really do care about the Mountain Gorillas , and work tirelessly to ensure they have a chance for survival.
By supporting WWF, you will be helping to provide much needed equipment for these rangers to carry out their daily jobs in the best way possible. You donations will help the rangers to have –
- Fully stocked first aid kits for £15
- Head torches for overnight patrols for £40
- New training and skills for £80
- Sleeping bags, boots and waterproofed for £120
You can even write a ranger a message of supporter to thank him for the amazing work he is doing in helping to protect the Mountain Gorilla for extinction. These guys work long hours in dangerous conditions, so if you would like to make a donation to helping them to do their job, simply click on the link below to make the rangers lives easier whilst on patrol.
