Fallen Baby Elephant Manages To Get Back Up With A Little Help From His Herd

This baby elephant will tell you that when things get a little rough it’s always good to have friends and family around.

The YouTube video shows the baby elephant collapsing on a South African road in Kruger National Park. Not to worry though because the little fella’s herd comes right to rescue, helping it back up and escorting it back to safety.

If you pay close attention to video, at the 0:21 mark an older elephant comes to help the younger one and then other elephants join in the effort. Together they nudge the little chap on the ground and about a minute later, the baby starts to stand up with a little help from another older elephant.

Watch the video, it really is heart-warming to see how elephants take care of their own.
