About PTES
People’s Trust for Endangered Species was established in 1977 and works to keep the UK’s wildlife protected as well as engaging in conservation all over the world. The organisation is seeking to help bring the world’s most threatened species back from the brink of extinction. PTES achieves its goals by conducting cutting edge research, engaging in practical conservation and educating the public all made possible through the generosity of supporters.
Why supporting ptes makes sense:
- Some habitats are so rich in biodiversity that they must be protected at all costs. PTES is working to ensure that ancient woodlands, pastures, parklands and orchards are preserved so that all the species these habitats support continue to survive into the future.
- All the work PTES does is based on scientific evidence. This means the organisation collects data through surveys that even ordinary individuals can participate in. PTES also awards research grants to the most promising scientists globally. All the data and evidence collected ensures the money people donate is used in the most effective way possible.
- By donating to PTES you will become part of a global community of like-minded people all of whom care deeply about conservation and protecting wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
- ptes needs you support because it is almost completely dependent on the generosity of ordinary individuals to carry on with the important work that it does.
