Gray Wolf Chases Family Driving A Van

A family driving along a highway in British Columbia stumbled across a gray wolf that was sitting on the side of the road. As the vehicle approached and then passed it by, the wolf began exhibiting some strange behaviour. It began to chase the van and seemed to have every intention of catching up to it.  The woman who shot the video said because she is so fascinated with nature and animals when her husband alerted her to the wolf, she grabbed her phone and began recording. She added that she was sitting at the back of the van when she saw the wolf running beside the road and then chasing after the vehicle.

The wolf was running extremely fast apparently and never took his eyes off the vehicle despite the fact that there were cars travelling in the opposite direction. The wolf continued to chase the van for a good two kilometres. The gray wolf refused to give up the chase however the family were late to their destination so they sped up leaving the wolf behind. The woman who shot the video said that if they had more time, they would have attempted to see how far the wolf would have maintained the chase.

Some viewers think the wolf might in actual fact be a dog. There have been similar reports of wolves chasing vehicles previously. Wildlife officials however say this is not normal behaviour for gray wolves.
