Watch This Amazing Video Of Humpback Whales Under The Aurora Borealis
It is extremely rare to surf YouTube and come across a video that makes you think about our place in the universe. This video is most definitely one of them. The video depicts a group of feeding humpback whales along the Norwegian coast breaking the surface of the water under the Aurora Borealis. The two phenomena by themselves are a once in a life time shot for any filmmaker, however when combined together, the sight is truly impressive.
Norwegian cameraman Harald Albrigtsen had the privilege of shooting the footage and according to EarthTouch News Network Mr. Albrigtsen works for the Norwegian media company NRK. The report says the cameraman was testing out a new camera that is meant to operate in low lighting conditions when he spotted the whale/aurora combination.
Mr. Albrigtsen had actually spotted the whales close to the location earlier in the day and was waiting to shoot some footage of them. He says he was going to give up after a few hours waiting, but suddenly they turned up once again. In his interview with EarthTouch Mr. Albrigtsen said he was unaware whether he had his camera in focus because everything was like a dream. Once you see the video we are sure you will agree.
