Our Barbary Lion Says…
Hi, I’m a Barbary lion, and I’m the largest cat in the world! Once upon a time I was the king of the jungle, but we no longer live in the wild. There are just 100 of us left in conservation projects across the globe, and our numbers are growing slowly but surely. If you would like to adopt me that would be amazing, as support like yours allows me to be here today. Perhaps even one day our numbers will be sufficiently high enough to allow our roar to be heard in the wild again.
Sponsor a lion and receive
- FREE entry to an Aspinall Foundation Park to see some amazing animals.
- An e-gift pack that contains a computer desktop wallpaper, animal facts, an adoption certificate as well as a monthly e-newsletter.
- Twice yearly updates on how your animal is doing and the work the Aspinall Foundation are providing to help their fight for survival.
udopt'r choice
Barbary lions are solitary creatures, and never lived in packs before they became extinct in the wild. They preferred their own company, unlike other lions, and were homely animals who liked to live in forest areas. They are the largest living cat on the planet, and hopefully their time will come again.
udopt it because
- There are no Barbary / Atlas lions in the wild and only 100 remain in captivity.
- This biggest cat in the world is already extinct in the wild, let’s work together to ensure this proud, magnificent beast stays on the planet for a lot longer.
- There is a choice of 4 different types of adoption to suit the amount your wish to give, making this a gift that can be given more easily than others.
- Receive FREE entry to an Aspinall Foundation Park.
